Best of Mania Part 2: Songs

I said I would return, and I have.  How many thought I wouldn't?  Liars.  Welcome back for part two of my 2012 wrap up, this is all about favorite songs.  My favorite songs to be precise.  What will be on it? You should have a decent idea if you saw the album list.

2012 ended up being a fairly good year for music, considering at the start I wasn't expecting to be interested in that many releases.  There weren't a lot of bands I followed, at the time, putting out records this year.  So here are the songs (87 to be exact), again, alphabetical order. Enjoy the songs.

2012 Hit Parade by Eustice_Stalin on Grooveshark

Allo' Darlin - "Capricornia"
Fiona Apple - "Hot Knife"
There are quite a few songs off this album I could have chose, but I ended up with this one. It's pretty indicative of what her album is all about.
Army Navy - "World's End"

Bat For Lashes - "All Your Gold"
Azelia Banks - "212"
Jessie Baylin - "Love is Wasted on Lovers"
Beachwood Sparks - "Tarnished Gold"
Brendan Benson - "What Kind of World"
Best Coast - "Do You Love Me Like You Used To"
I was a little torn on Best Coast this year, but this is a straight up classic.
Andrew Bird - "Give it Away"
Blood Orange - "Forget It"
Brandi Carlile - "Keep Your Heart Young"
Chromatics - "Cherry"
Chromatics - "Kill for Love"
Chrome Canyon - "Generations"
Kelly Clarkson - "What Doesn't Kill You"
I'm only human, and it's catchy as fuck.
Matthew Dear - "Fighting is Futile"
Diamond Rings - "I'm Just Me"
Django Django - "Default"
Dr. Dog - "Lonesome"
Dragonette - "Live in the City"
I can't believe Dragonette wrote a song about how cool I am.
Dum Dum Girls - "I Got Nothing"
El-P - "Full Retard"
Eternal Summers - "You Kill"
I literally could have chose any song off this album.  That's how tight the Eternal Summers are.
Father John Misty - "This is Sally Hatchet"
Benjy Ferree - G.U.S.
 First Aid Kit - "Emmylou"
Foxygen - "Make it Known"
fun. - "Some Nights"
Gentleman Jesse - "Eat me Alive"
Gossip - "Perfect World"
Ellie Goulding - "Anything Could Happen"
Grimes - "Oblivion"
Haim - "Don't Save Me"
The Hives - "Go Right Ahead"
Hospitality - "Friends of Friends"
Hot Chip - "Night and Day"
Icona Pop - "I Love It"
Ice Choir - "Teletrips"
Imperial Teen - "Runaway"
Sarah Jaffe - "Mannequin Woman"
Norah Jones - "Happy Pills"
The Killers - "Runaways"
Kindness - "House"
Ladyhawke - "Girl Like Me"
Lana Del Rey - "Ride"
The dichotomy that is Lana Del Rey.  She can release something as fantastically great as this, and also "Diet Mountain Dew" within the same year.
Lavender Diamond - "Everybody's Heart's Breaking Now"
Jens Lekman - "Become Someone Else's"
Jens Lekman - "I Know What Love Isn't"
Again, I could have chose any song of the album.  Jens Lekman I salute you.
Kendrick Lamar - "Real"
Lemonade - "Soft Kiss"
Eleni Mandell - "Bun in the Oven"
Aimee Mann - "Charmer"
Eugene McGuinness - "Sugarplum"
Micachu and the Shapes - "OK"
Mika - "Lola"
The Mountain Goats - "Cry for Judas"
The Mynabirds - "Generals"
Mystery Jets - "Greatest Hits"
Maybe it's all the name drops that I recognize, but this is one infectious little break up song.
Frank Ocean - "Thinkin Bout You"
Passion Pit - "Constant Conversations"
Gregory Pepper & His Problems - "At Least I'm not a Musician"

Pop ETC. - "Live it Up"
Prince Rama - "So Destroyed"
Purity Ring - "Fineshrine"
Frankie Rose - "Know Me"
Rye Rye - "Boom Boom"
Santigold - "Disparate Youth"
School of Seven Bells - "Lafaye"
Scissor Sisters - "Baby Come Home"
The Shins - "It's Only Life"
Sleigh Bells - "End of the Line"
Summer Camp - "Always"
Tame Impala - "Elephant"
Tanlines - "All of Me"
Tegan and Sara - "Closer"
Tennis - "My Better Self"
Kevin Tihista's Red Terror - "Taking it to the Streets (Again)"
Tilly and the Wall - "Love Riot"
The Ting Tings - "Guggenheim"
The Ting Tings - "Soul Killing"
Corin Tucker Blues Band - "Neskowin"
TV Girl - "I Wonder Who She's Kissing Now"
Twin Shadow - "Five Seconds"
Van She - "Jamacia"
Rufus Wainwright - "Out of the Game"
Nick Waterhouse - "Some Place"
Wild Nothing - "Nocturne"

Songs So Dumb They Almost Surpass Their Awfulness And Become Good Again

These are a few songs I like, but can't deny how stupid they are. I'm human just like you.
Green Day - "Fuck Time"
I thought that Flo Rida's "Whistle" was the least subtle song of 2012 and then I heard this.  There's subtly and then there's Green Day.
Carly Rae Jepsen - "Call Me Maybe"
Lana Del Rey - "Diet Mountain Dew"
