Best of Mania Part 3B: Music Videos

That first part was pretty crazy right? How am I going to top that? Well actually I didn't really do anything. Anyway check out part two of these great videos from the year 2012!

Grimes "Oblivion"
This is so deceptively simple. It's utterly brilliant.

Father John Misty "This is Sally Hatchet"
Great track with a gorgeous noirish video.

Tame Impala - "Feels Like We Only Go Backwards"
Have I mentioned how much I love animated music videos? Well I do.

Purity Rings - "Lofticries"
I don't particularly know what is going on in this video, but it's very facinating to watch. A mini David Lynch film if you will.

The Shins - "Simple Song"
It was a toss up on the Shins this year, as they put out two fairly superb videos. But this one won out slightly.

Fiona Apple - "Every Single Night"
What is with the giant squid? Why is she covered in snails? Is the world ending on that bridge? What is with the dude with the bull head?!

Rufus Wainwright - "Out of the Game"
Rufus in drag, Rufus as a slacker, Rufus as a dandy hipster, Helena Bonam-Carter as a repressed Librarian , and GO!

Ben Folds Five - "Do it Anyway"
Ben Folds Five and the Fraggles do it up right.

tUnE-yArDs - "My Country"
I'm not usually a fan of little kids in videos, as it's usually vomit inducing overtly pandering cutesy tripe.  However these little kids are freaks and it matches the song perfectly.

Hot Chip - "Don't Deny Your Heart"
Peter Serafinowicz is crazy talented.  Hot Chip are crazy talented.  This is their third pairing, each one great.  I hope this continues for ever.

Hospitality - "Friends of Friends"
Alia Shawkat and Maria Thayer in a video together? Straight to number one I say!

Screaming Females - "It All Means Nothing"& "Leave It All Up To Me"
This is a two fer as both videos are pretty hilarious, and great songs at that.

Bjork - "Mutual Core"
It's Bjork, do I really have to explain why it's here?
